Tess: Yes, I do believe in the benefits of a plant-based diet. The science behind a whole-food, plant-based diet consistently shows that people who consume more whole plant foods and less animal-based products tend to experience better overall health. This evidence led me now to focus to eating more of whole, plant-based foods.

Before embarking on my journey of sharing my passion for baking plant-based treats, I harbored doubts about whether the benefits of a plant-based diet would apply to me and whether I would find plant-based foods satisfying. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover a whole new world of delicious, filling, and healthy desserts. Not only did I experience positive changes such as weight loss, increased energy, and the disappearance of long-standing aches and pains, but I also became convinced of the effectiveness and benefits of a plant-based diet.

This realization inspired me to share my experience with others, particularly health-conscious individuals looking to diversify their diet. I wanted to educate and inspire everyone that we can still enjoy happy, delicious desserts that are specially catered for those watching their sugar and dairy intake to avoid any type of inflammation that could potentially trigger gut-related allergy issues. Through my journey, I aim to show that adopting a plant-based diet can lead to positive changes in health and overall well-being.

 

Can you briefly tell how you came to live and share this topic.

Tess: I embarked on my plant-based journey after years of personal weight loss efforts and researching the best diets for health and longevity. Concerns about my family's medical history and potential health issues motivated me to adopt a lifestyle focused on healthy eating. As I shifted towards healthier food choices, I noticed improvements in mental clarity, sleep quality, and energy levels. My family also embraced the change, enjoying the delicious plant-based meals together. Encouraged by my success and passion for baking, I decided to share my knowledge and experiences to help others enjoy the benefits of plant-based snacking.

We cater to beginners and aspire to offer more support for those already on a plant-based journey, providing a wide variety of flavors to suit different tastes. Tess: Absolutely, that's a comprehensive summary. Following a plant-based diet rich in whole foods like fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and seeds can provide ample nutrition without the need for supplements. However, it's crucial for individuals to pay attention to their bodies and seek guidance from a healthcare professional if they have any concerns about their diet, health, or any significant changes they are making to their dietary habits. This is particularly important for those with pre-existing health conditions or who are taking medication.

 

Many people believe that a plant-based diet takes too much time with the extra planning and prepping.

Tess: It's true that adopting a plant-based diet may require some extra planning and preparation, but the benefits far outweigh the time investment. Personally, I've found that involving my loved ones in the kitchen and sharing the cooking process has been incredibly rewarding. One of the most surprising outcomes is the rapid disappearance of long-standing aches and pains, often attributed to reduced inflammation caused by eliminating inflammatory foods from our diet. People are often amazed when they realize that pain they've been living with for years simply vanishes.

In addition to pain relief, other unexpected benefits may include increased mental clarity, improved digestion, reduced hot flashes, clearer and glowing skin, brighter eyes, and even weight loss despite consuming carbohydrates.
